Cuttings
- Cut the pipe right angle to its axis using burr free cutter.
- Ensure that pipes is free from burrs or cutting chip
- Clean the pipe & fitting perfectly before welding.
- Mark welding depth at the end ofpipes.
Heating
- Mount the suitable dies on heating element of welding machine according to the diameter of Pipe and fitting to be welded.
- Connect the welding machine to 220/230 volts A.C. power supply.
- Select 260 Deg. C. temperature on the welding machine thermostat.
Wait for reaching the required working temperature.
- Insert the pipe and the fitting in the dies by exerting light pressure.
- For heating time, refer the table given for different sizes of Pipes.
Welding
After heating, quicklyinsert pipe into the fitting by exerting light pressure.
- Any misalignment should be corrected immediately after insertion to avoid any Stress in the weld.
- Allow the joint to cool as per cooling time given in table.
This type of connection ensures perfect sealing even under the severe working
Conditions. ber can start to make next joint.
Recommended Time For PPR Fusion Joints.

Points to be Noted.
This is being seen that second time heating of pipes and fittings not properly works hence pipes and fittings for joining at a times.
- Heating and welding operation should not be broken up
- Welding time and insertion depths must be observed.
- A double, uniform ring of melted material around entire perimeter of the joint confirms good quality of the weld.
- Welding time and insertion depths must be practical.
- Pressure test must be carried out before concealing the pipe work.
- Bending of pipes should be avoided.
- It is recommended neither to store nor to install the product in places which are directly exposed to ultraviolet rays.
- Pipes should be stored in a pile with the maximum height of 1.2 m
Concealed Work
While doing concealed bathroom work, it is advised to make the required network on floor by proper measurement of different pipe lengths. To avoid misalignment, guiding marks on pipes and fittings should be referred. |
